The Langley Jazz Festival is celebrating its 5th anniversary this year. Originally conceived by Langley resident, Rudy Storteboom, the Jazz Festival was created to fill a musical void in the Jazz scene in Langley. Storteboom believed the community was rife with talent and sought to find a vessel through which to showcase that talent. And so in 2005, with a group of dedicated music enthusiasts, the Langley Jazz Festival was created.
