The Langley Jazz Festival is celebrating its 4th anniversary this year. Originally conceived by Langley resident, Rudy Storteboom, the Jazz Festival was created to fill a musical void in the Jazz scene in Langley. Storteboom believed the community was rife with talent and sought to find a vessel through which to showcase that talent. And so in 2005, with a group of dedicated and local music enthusiasts, the Langley Jazz Festival was created.
The Langley Jazz Festival is a FREE, one-day, outdoor event, held at various stages placed throughout Douglas Park in Langley, BC. It is meant to showcase the talent of many Langley residents, including our high school jazz bands, and to welcome talent from across the Lower Mainland.
